Privacy Policy

What information does voterspledge.org collect from website visitors, and how is this information used?

Our Voters Pledge and Voters Challenge programs allow visitors to learn about and interact with Voters Pledge. We also get "automatically collected information" when you visit our website, such as your IP address, the server connecting your computer, your browser type, operating system, browser language, and service provider. Automatically collected information helps us analyze usage of the website and to improve our content, layout, and services.

We collect "personal information" about you (such as your name and email address) only if you volunteer it. We may store and use information that you provide to contact you about other events and activities of Voters Pledge that we believe may interest you. If you prefer not to receive promotional e-mail messages or other communications from us, please reply to the e-mail message with "remove" in the subject line or write to us asking to have your email removed from our mailing list.

If you donate through voterspledge.org, we collect your contact information, which may include your name, address, email, phone, and billing information.

When you log in to participate in a personalized event or to track your educational progress, we may invite you to provide optional information about your voter registration, group affiliation, and voting behavior. Event results will be summarized using this information and stripped of your personally identifying information before it is used in any way.

Voters Pledge will never share your personal information with any third party.

Like many websites, voterspledge.org may use "cookies" to store on the user's machine to enable the browser to store and recall information. These cookies are useless to anyone else but the user returning to voterspledge.org to resume learning activities.

How do we protect your information?

Voters Pledge works hard to protect users’ information by relying on secure servers, data encryption, user authentication and access control.  Monetary transactions (i.e., to donate) use a separate web service with its own secure server and encryption to protect your personal information during processing.

How can you contact Voters Pledge about your information?

You may contact Voters Pledge by using the Contact form at the website to request a review of your personal information and to request corrections.
